Research Notes:

No further information has been found regarding Pierre Ribolle and Marie Anne Rivet after their marriage in 1768. So far only one possible hint has been found. In the baptismal record of Jean Guillaume Hatch, the first child of David Hatch and "Marie" [Marguerite] Rivet, a sponsor is named as "Marguerite Reboul". Could this be her? Her relationship to the child would have been first cousin twice removed.

In addition, we have considered these possibilities, but have not done much to search for anything as of yet:

1. They may have remained in Natchez after their marriage in 1768. (Natchez was just upriver from Pointe Coupee, on the East bank of the Mississippi.) I have checked the 1792 Spanish Census for the Natchez District of the Mississippi Territory (see ) but no Ribolle or Rivet was found there. Nothing else has been checked yet. Possibly Mississippi has records for that era?
2. They may have moved to other Spanish territories of the now-US (e.g., Florida or Texas).
3. They may have returned together to Spain, where Pierre was from.
4. They may have died without having any children or creating any record-worthy events, or records simply no longer exist.
