Also living with him was his wife, Lucille Rivette (given age 54); his sons Charlie Rivette (given age 18) and Mike Rivette (given age 11); and his daughters Amelia Rivette (given age 16) and Matille Rivette (given age 15). They lived just down the road from Placide's brother, Alcee. Their home was rented for $5 per month. Placide had a fifth grade education, and Lucille had no formal education. He worked the farm for his own account. During the week before the census was taken, he worked 40 hours, and was employed for 36 weeks in 1939.9
Death, WidowHe was left a widower at age 55, when his wife, Marie Lucille, died on 13 Jul 1940 at Leonville, St. Landry Parish, LA.10,11,12
