Also living with him were his wife, Leontine Rivette (given age 47), and his sons Percy Rivette (given age 19), Antoine Rivette (given age 18) and Murphy Rivette (given age 12). They rented their home for $5 per month. Amar had a fifth grade education, and Leontine had no formal education. During the week before the census was taken, Amar worked 48 hours on his farm.7
