Research Notes:

Due to the closeness in names and ages of Anne Marine Rivet with her sister Marie Anne Rivet, it is difficult in some records to tell which sibling is being referred to. At one time I thought they might possibly be the same person, but after additional research I've confirmed they are two separate people. For some records, I have made the assumption that any "Marine" is Anne Marine, and used my best judgment on any "Marie Anne" or "Anne Marie". I feel like I've straightened it all out, but it is easily possible that there are errors.

Regarding the reference book, Acadian Descendants by Janet Jehn, vol.5, p.32: In the marriage to Jacques Hernandez, Jehn gives the older sister Anne Marine Rivet as the wife, when (in my opinion) it should be for the younger sister Marie Anne Rivet. Just wanted to mention the discrepancy in case anyone had a question.

The BRDA red books were searched for children of both of these women. To date, I have only checked the volumes through 1819, and the children found are entered in the family data. Note that some of the Hernandez children had variations for their mother's name: Henriette, Anne, and Anne Francoise. Their father was consistently Jaques or just slight spelling variations. I have assumed that these are all referring to the same couple. However, if you believe this is incorrect, please let me know!

I welcome anyone else's information, thoughts or opinions regarding these two sisters and their families!
