Also living in the house was his wife Adia Landry (given age 60), son Clet Landry (given age 21) and Ulysse Landry (given age 18). Alexis worked as a laborer for a carpenter, but was currently out of work. He owned his home free and clear of any mortgage. Alexis could read English but could not write, and he and Adia both spoke French.7
DeathAlexis Landry died at age 77 on 14 Aug 1922 in Jeanerette, Iberia Parish, LA.1
