Noah was a farmer, and owned his farm free and clear.7
Census1920Noah Barnhisel (given age 56) was enumerated on 3 Jan 1920 as "father" [but placement on the census indicates he was the head] of a household on the 1920 census at Perry Township, Miami County, IN. Living with him were his wife Mary C Barnhisel (given age 54), and mother Elizabeth Barnhisel (given age 87) [but mistakenly listed as "grandmother"]. Noah's family was enumerated separately and immediately after his son Jesse's, but it appears that the two families probably lived very close together if not in the same house. Noah was shown to be the manager of his farm, which he owned free and clear of any mortgage.8
Death, Widow-InformantHe was left a widower when his wife, Mary Clio, died of tuberculosis on 4 Mar 1922 at Irene Byron Sanitarium at Fort Wayne, Allen County, IN. He was the informant on her death certificate.9,10
