We do not have any information on his parents or siblings at this time.]

Based on ages, it is possible that the following were also living in the household: Martha (his wife), free white female 40 to 50 years old; John M. Anderson, free white male five to ten years old; Catharin Anderson, free white female under five years of age; Mary Anderson, free white female five to ten years old.3

Census1860Peter Anderson (given age 58) was enumerated as the head of a household on the 1860 census at Hancock County, TN, with his wife, Martha. Living with them was Mary M. Anderson, age 6, born Tenn. Peter owned personal estate valued at $175. Martha gave her occupation as Midwifery..4
Census1870Peter Anderson (given age 68) was listed 12 Aug 1870 with the family of Morgan Anderson, age 54, a farmer, on the 1870 Census in Hancock County, TN. Peter's wife, Martha (given age 75), was living there with him. Peter was an invalid. Other members of Morgan Anderson's household were Elizabeth, age 45, probably his wife, and the following were probably their children: James, age 20; Jessee, age 18; Edmond, age 15; Jane, age 13; Levina, age 11; Jefferson, age 9; Mary, age 5; Lucy, age 2. The official date for this census was 01 June 1870.5
