Research Notes:

     There is a "Cliford Murray" (age 6) listed on the 1930 census as a son of Clifford Wilton Murray. He is in the exact spot that I would have expected William James Murray (later known as Father Bernard Murray) to have been listed. I believe these two are the same person, and that the census taker just wrote it down incorrectly.1,2

OccupationWilliam began the process of becoming a catholic priest when he entered the Abbey of Gethsemani, a Trappist monastery near Bardstown, Nelson County, KY, on Valentine's Day 1944. He was ordained a priest on 23 Sep 1950. He apparently changed his name during this time, and became known as Father Bernard A. Murray. He served for many years at Gethsemani. In Dec 1983, Father Bernard was sent as chaplain to a newly founded Trappistine monastery in Chile, the house of Quilvo, where he served for 26 years.4
DeathHe died after a long illness on 23 Sep 2011 at the Abbey of Miraflores in Chile.4
BurialHe was buried at Miraflores cemetery in Chile.4
