Their home was rented for $20 per month, and they lived in the same house in 1935. Oron Sr had a fourth grade education, and Nellie had a sixth grade education. During the week before the census was taken, Oron worked 50 hours as a deck hand for a petroleum company. He earned $1,344 in 1939.7
