RESEARCH NOTE
Her birth date according to the 1900 census is June 1872. This fits the 1880 census estimate, given age 8. A death record for Luce Rivet in 1955 gives age 80, but she was actually 83 if this is her record. We also have a burial record for Luce that matches the state's death record. The clincher for me in believing that these are her death and burial records is the fact that buried next to her is Eva Rivet, her sister, who also never married. For positive confirmation, need to get a copy of the death certificate. I intend to get the certificate eventually, but have no plans for it as yet.
